The FWH Creations team is headed by Brenda Sheil, who has been on the ground with Jacobs Well since the year 2000. With a successful career teaching art and textile design, Brenda joined forces with the team in India to strengthen vocational training programmes for aspiring tailors, secure high-level order contracts and develop quality fashion and home accessory products. With her specialist knowledge of design and production in India, as well as UK import procedures, Brenda acts as a consultant to a wide number of designers and companies. Currently dividing her time between India and the UK, Brenda provides the ongoing vision for FWH Creations and is committed to growing and strengthening the charity’s impact in communities worldwide.
Our Board of Trustees
Katie Thomas is the Chair of Trustees for FWH Creations. She is a Specialist Dietician working with children and those with a Learning Disability, and is also project coordinator for a regional UK charity that has been fundraising for Jacobs Well for over twenty years. Jacobs Well has always held a special place in Katie’s heart and she has enjoyed visiting the unit in India. Katie is delighted to head the team of trustees and plays a primary role in organising fundraising events for FWH Creations.
Peter Anderson is the Treasurer of FWH Creations. He trained as an electronics engineer and has degrees in Electronics and Business Management and has worked at a senior engineering and management level within the Satellite Navigation industry. This has included managing multi-national teams between the UK, India and USA. More recently he has moved into consultancy with his own company, and as Treasurer provides business expertise to FWH Creations and Jacobs Well.
Keren Pybus brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience in the garment industry, having worked across merchandising, sourcing, retail operations and change management for a major multinational brand, with specific responsibilities for the Far East, India and Bangladesh. As a trustee, Keren advises FWH Creations on production & marketing matters, as well as networking on behalf of the charity.
Mary Orange is a registered nurse with over forty years’ experience of working in the fields of learning disabilities and enduring mental health problems. Her current role within a large mental health hospital is focused around the training, teaching and development of staff. She is passionate about learning and development and helping people reach their potential. After visiting India and seeing the Jacobs Well project Mary caught a vision for supporting the charity and as a trustee gives invaluable support with fundraising ideas and events.
Tricia Hamilton is a trustee for FWH Creations. She worked for 42 years with the John Lewis Partnership as a buyer and Director of Buying for Fashions and Fashion Accessories, designing and sourcing products in different corners of the world. She has always loved the spirituality and creativity of India. Whilst volunteering with Tearfund/Oasis in the Bandra slum in Mumbai, she visited the JW production unit in Bangalore and has kept the people and ambitions of the team there in her heart. Tricia advises FWH Creations on production costing and quality control matters.
